+1 Gaming is hiring! Full or part-time available. Weekend availability is a must. The best candidate will have an outgoing personality, sales experience, and familiarity with a variety of tabletop games and retro video games. In addition, we’re looking for several skills to add to our team:

  • Emceeing: While we’re not running events now, we’ll return one day and would love to elevate our in-store play experience.

  • Good with kids: In conjunction with better events, we’d love to offer more to elementary-school-age gamers and parents.

  • Buying: High familiarity with the secondary markets for Magic: the Gathering and video games is a huge plus; we’re always buying.

  • Social media & outreach: More good better at internet please!

We expect to hire for two part-time positions to diversify our staff, but would consider one full-time position for a candidate with a wide range of skills.

What’s it like to work here?

We’re not your typical retail gig! You will do all the usual retail work of sales, stocking, cleaning, organizing, etc. You’ll also become a community leader and friend, lead engaging play experiences, evaluate and buy used merchandise, and have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities based on your talents and passions. You’ll be expected to be dependable and reliable, a contributing team member, to show respect to co-workers and customers alike (even the difficult ones), and occasionally to address conflict or bad behavior. Most importantly, you need to be able to share your fun, help other people find theirs, and make them happy they came and excited to come back.
